Looking to take better care of your acoustic guitar?

On Feb. 10, Big Pink Music is hosting a workshop led by veteran guitar player and expert luthier Larry Berwald of Rosewood Guitar Repair at Victorian Station in Hampton. The discussion will include such topics as understanding guitar construction, proper stringing techniques, guitar set-up for your playing style, humidification and storage, and capo 101.

His tips will be useful for players of all levels. He will answer questions. If you bring your instrument, he will assess it for no charge following the session.

The workshop is free to Big Pink Music Members (bigpinkmusic.org). We’re asking for a small cash donation (suggested $5-$10) at the door from non-members. Children 16 and younger are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

There will be complimentary coffee and breakfast treats for guests starting at 10:30 a.m. The workshop begins at 11 a.m.
